Summer 2016 has started and you can already see Selecta Flooring’s work all over the city of Westfield, New Jersey. As we continue to create new dream floors throughout New Jersey we also continue to work with historic homes around the state. Union County, New Jersey is rich in history and you can find some of the most beautiful historic homes here.
One of Selecta Flooring’s latest project took place in Higland ave, Westfield, New Jersey. This historic home was built over 100 years ago. Majority of homes in this historic section of town have been named through out the years. The Highland avenue home will now be known as The Como House. The Highland ave. estate is part of Westfield’s famous Dudley Park historic district.
Our clients wanted to maintain the architectural Victorian exterior for the house, while developing a modern interior. This district is made up of a collection of late nineteenth century and early twentieth century homes that represent the period when Westfield, New Jersey became a prestigious, suburban community.
To achieve the modern interior Selecta Flooring ripped out existing flooring and installed 2 ¼ White Oak Select Grade floors and subfloors. We also recommended a palette of color stains that will align with the newly painted interior. Our clients opted to use a Jacobean and stain mix. This combination of darker tones created a great contrast to the new light gray walls around the home. As Selecta Flooring predicted at the beginning of the year, dark floors will be one of the most popular options for 2016.
Selecta Flooring LLC. is delighted to continue servicing homeowners in Union County and along New Jersey. There is nothing more rewarding than a satisfied customer. With Selecta Flooring every job is guaranteed. Contact Selecta Flooring today! 9083010150 or [email protected]
